I Hate Brangelina

I may be grasping at air clouds, but is it my imagination that the stalwarts of celebrity reporting are turning negative against brangelina? Let me tell you why I say this. Last week (Mar.17th), I took a look at the National Enquirer’s celebrity reporter Mike Walker’s column, and was a little taken
aback at what he says about brad pitt and a joke that Jimmy Kimmel made on his show. I won’t go into too much depth here, but Kimmel made a joke about jolie “ballooning up to 115 lbs” when she became
pregnant. Also that pitt told Kimmel ( it’s a joke) that he and ang were thinking about ‘putting up the kids for adoption because there were too many of them’. Unfortunately pitt just happened to
tune into the show right when he was saying this. Let’s just say that he called Kimmel
and yelled at the guy for a while. Mike Walker , at the end of his brangelina piece said ,” Comedy’s not pretty, but Kimmel’s pretty funny, so…. LIGHTEN UP ( this is a quote).
Another example that I want to bring up is that I read a part of Ted Casablanca’s column -”The Awful Truth” on Mar.19th. The subject of the item on his column was about when negative things happen or is caused by celebrities and their entourage , and the damage done to their reputations. Well, brangelina was one of the examples he used when their old bodyguard(name unknown) pushed and shoved some paps outside their hotel in India when brang. were there making “A mighty heart”. Ted says that brangelina’s reputation could never suffer damage as long as angelina keeps her man around.

“All the lovey dovey with the media-and the world is off, ms. jolie, once you ditch your all- american chump.- just don’t say you weren’t warned!” (not an exact quote). HOLY COW! That last warning was the most stringent to date that I’ve read from Ted! Mike Walker and Ted Casablanca have been around for a while and they’re extremely professional. Mike Walker used to ‘burn incense at the altar’ of brangelina. He was on their side even when this whole ugly mess started so long ago. But to read him say this to pitt, is just one of the little ways he’s
changing his views towards brangelina. It’s unheard of to see him criticize
them. And Ted Casablanca- he’s always been one not to ‘kiss booty’ with
brangelina, but to see this VERY BLATANT warning to jolie, is just unreal!!

I can’t help but feel lighthearted, uplifted AND
lightheaded by this VERY HEALTHY trend towards
balanced journalism!
