This tidbit comes from intouchonline.com. Astoundingly there IS someone in Hollywood
who will not milk the Pitt, Clooney connection, just so he can appear “cool”. This actor, Mark Wahlberg, is a man who is happy and confident enough to stand on his own and make it in Hollywood. Yes, he admits, not every movie he makes is a slam dunk. But he feels that WHATEVER happens , he’ll do it on his own without standing next to Pitt or Clooney for support. He goes on to say that the “Ocean’s Eleven franchise is overrated.
Originally, Wahlberg was offered the part of Matt Damon’s character, Linus Caldwell, but he declined it. It went to Damon, but Wahlberg doesn’t regret it , ” I had to step out on my own. I made two bad movies instead- ‘Planet of the Apes’ and ‘The Truth About Charlie’- but doing that was better than sitting with Brad Pitt and George, telling the press how great everybody is! That’s not for me. ” Also Wahlberg has stated that the second Ocean’s Eleven- Twelve? “sucked!”
I’ve watched some of the Ocean’s Eleven movie and bits of the sequels, and was BORED
TO TEARS! It made me want to ” prank call” my parent’s satellite company- (I don’t watch t.v. in the daytime- except in the morning, or at my parent’s). But watching Pitt do what he does best- acting as himself - you know the main reason they keep Pitt in,
is because he’s the “look” of the Ocean’s movies. It couldn’t be Oceans whatever,
without him. So- that’s one thing you can say about the ” Bradster”. He’s a posterboy
supreme.

I deliberately waited for the end of the weekend to write this column. I was waiting
to read the box office totals to see what the amounts were for “Wanted”. Keep in mind
that we all pretty much knew that Disney’s ” Wall-E” was going to take the number one
spot; and that”Wanted” was going to take number 2 spot. But the big news was the
totals that ‘Wanted’ made- (fifty one million dollars! 51 MILLION!!).
Let us imagine the conversation that took place this morning in Miravel, France.
Jolie: ” Oh Brad, we did it! We rode out that little backlash, and now we won!
We’ve ridden the “wave”, and now we own it all!” Brad: “Yeah- I guess
we pulled it off. Now let’s see how “Benjamin Button” and the “Changeling” does.
If we get that kind of “change” for those movies, we will be on top the rest of our lives.” “We will NEVER go away.”
I hope you’ll forgive me when I say this, but how in heck do these two keep winning??
I guess I should congratulate them for their success. But for me to do this would
cause me internal damage of the utmost order. No- I’m NOT jealous, nor envious
(yawn!). But you know, one HAS to wonder what it is about Brad & Angie that gives
them this “walking through locked doors, and walls” ability that they have?.Hmmm…-
NO ONE should have EVERYTHING THEY DESIRE. But these two do. Oh and also- for all of you who went to the “Wanted” movie?. If it should ever happen that Brangelina starts to get on your nerves because they are always on parade EVERYWHERE; you’ll have only yourselves to blame. All it took was going to one movie.

I read today that when the ‘ Idol Gives Back ‘ show was being taped , and brad pitt
walked out on stage, the audience went wild. They had to wait quite a few minutes until the screaming and girls gone crazy finally subsided. When herr pitt finally started
speaking, no one heard him because his mike was disconnected.
It took me quite a few minutes to stop laughing! I liken it to the video on my website. The only one that shows him and madame jolie walking down
a street somewhere. I thought that the video was intrinsic to showing how pointless these two are. Can you hear crickets chirping??
Anyhow, they finally reconnected his mike , he was trying to say “thank you”. Once again, his mike was not working. More laughter from moi. The article said that pitt was introducing a film clip by one of the former contestants , Chris Daughtry’s, that dealt with his visit to Uganda. Don’t know if pitt ever said anything else, but supposedly, it was a huge success.
The only thing that I’ll say about this is that yeah, he’s still hot, popular, and the women
still love him. But ask yourself a couple of questions.
If pitt is such a hot shot actor, what is he doing on a show called American Idol?? There WAS A TIME WHEN no one on television would have been able to reach him, let alone get him to go on. No one that is… EXCEPT ANISTON.
The fact is, NO ONE IS BUYING his movie tickets. IT’S been quite a while since he’s done well at the box office. Even pitt’s friend George Clooney hasn’t been faring well.
His movie “Leatherheads” was a dismal second. And Michael Clayton was not a blockbuster either. But at least he’s in the top three percentile. At last count, pitt
couldn’t even get in the top thirty percentile with the Assasination of Jesse James. This is not how one would want their career to be developing. Food for thought.
